אודותינו

Lordan (A.C.S.) has been engineering and manufacturing high quality custom-made fin and tube heat exchangers for the HVAC&R markets with applications for commercial, industrial, telecommunications, and transportation industries since 1958. We are known for our design and supply flexibility, ready to work on any complex heating, cooling and refrigeration challenges, whatever the scope. Our global company offers a sophisticated logistics management system for our clients, and is represented locally in over four continents with a substantial customer base spread out all over the world. We support a dynamic work environment where our highly experienced engineers can come up with innovative designs and approaches to heat exchange challenges. The creative solutions they put forward are always based on joint collaboration with our customer's development teams.

Incorporated into every one of our coil and fin designs are light-weight eco-friendly materials strong enough to withstand severe environmental conditions, to save energy and lower operating costs.

Our coil designs and high quality coatings are built to weather through any condition, from corrosive environments and extreme temperatures to heavy vibration and delicate applications.

Our fully compliant production facilities have manufacturing capabilities that can deliver from single to large series production in its 12,000 square meter plant. We have a production capacity of over 2,000 different designs a year.

We abide by the strictest international quality and environmental management standards and have been UL207 certified since 1999. Our production bases are located in Israel and in Wales, with warehouses scattered throughout the markets and regions we serve, namely Europe, the US, Australia and Asia.

MISSION
STATEMENT

Since 1958, Lordan has built a reputation for supplying high-quality products and ongoing technical support to its customers. These core principles remain our driving force until today, in addition to environmental values that we have added over recent years, which have had great global impact.

At Lordan, our mission is:

To optimize the performance of our customers' applications with higher quality, more efficient, energy saving heat exchangers that are more compact, light weight, and highly resistant. A customer-focused company, Lordan supplies, first of all, solutions and then products to help our clients become more efficient and competitive. To do that, our experienced and creative engineering team examines the challenges facing our customers and offers them solutions that respond to their specific needs. Each of our customers is involved in a specific application sectors with different requirements. We understand this and customize each application to suit its unique specifications.

Our Corporate Mission:

To be the company that best understands and satisfies the unique requirements of its customers, by designing solutions that go beyond thermal engineering and suited to operate in challenging environmental conditions, and by supplying custom made products that will allow our clients to optimize the performance of their processes beyond thermal efficiency.
To be the leader of tube and fin heat exchanging solutions, and to position Lordan companies at the forefront of extremely challenging applications by designing and manufacturing the most technologically advanced, efficient, cost-effective and resilient solutions commercially available to its customers.

LORDAN'S
HISTORY

Lordan was established in the late 1950's in the entrepreneurial spirit of the time. Headquartered in Kibbutz Kfar Szold at the foot of the Golan Heights, the company was founded by members of the Kibbutz who sought an alternative source of income to supplant the settlement's agricultural business.

Benjamin Cohen was given with the task of exploring new economic options available to the Kibbutz, and went on to become the first general manager of the Lordan plant, following a special connection that was forged at that time with an Austrian heat exchanger company known as Schiff and Stern.

The founder and owner of Schiff and Stern, Mr. Roland Stern, was also the inventor and first manufacturer of coil exchange technology. Mr. Stern was very impressed by the enterprising pursuits of the Kibbutz members, and their trade skills, that he generously donated his knowledge in the field, as well as his patented designs and techniques for the purposes of founding a heat exchanger plant at the Kibbutz. In honor of his magnanimous contributions, the new plant was named Lordan. The name Lordan was Mr. Stern's pseudonym pen name that he conceived as an anagram of his given name. The Lordan pen name was signed to the works of poetry that got published during his undergraduate years when he studied mechanical engineering (Roland - Lordan).

Lordan opened its doors in 1958, developing coil heat exchange technology, known as "slil-lahat," Hebrew for "blazing coils."

The manufacturing of the coils was a guarded process, and as such, it was given a special room under lock and key with only very few authorized personnel allowed to enter and learn about the secretive manufacturing process. In 1960's the first exports entered the Persian marketplace, and slowly afterward began to penetrate various European markets.

By the end of 1976, Lordan added a new product line, solar collectors. The energy crisis of the late 70's that followed, brought about a rise in interest in alternative sources of energy and fuel efficiency, and opened up a new market - the American marketplace.

From the 1980's onwards, Lordan concentrated on developing high quality custom-made fin and tube heat exchangers for the HVAC&R markets that is known for today.
